Mobility and YOU
"Mobile, Agile, Hostile!"
It's not just a line from Remember The Titans. And you may not want to be hostile. But you DO want to remain mobile and agile throughout life. When our joints are immobile, they don't work as well and they don't last as long. Most likely you know someone who has had a joint replacement. A knee, hip shoulder, etc...they will most likely tell you that it is a blessing. And isn't that an AMAZING advancement?
But they will also likely tell you that they wish they had their original and that it worked much better when they were much younger. So how do we keep them working as they did when they were younger? We keep them MOVING! Chiropractic adjustments are one of the most critical parts of keeping joints moving (and yes, most chiropractors work on knees, elbows, hips, shoulders, etc., in case you didn't know). But they will not S-T-R-E-T-C-H for you!
It turns out that you need to keep them moving in order to keep them moving. And movement is LIFE! Imagine if you bent your elbow as far as you could so your hand is against your shoulder. Then you took duct tape and wrapped it super tight around the elbow over and over till the joint was cinched super tight and you could not budge your arm a millimeter. And now you left it on there for the next 15 years. How do you think it would work? You're right, poorly. It would be so full of scar tissue that you might never move it again.
That's how it is when you don't regularly put your joints through complete motion. Yes, they may need chiropractic attention, but you should be stretching them and doing challenging work with them in all sorts of positions through the entire range of motion of the joint. At RHINO we regularly FORCE you :-) to move all those joints and not even have to think about it. We've got your back (and your knees, ankles, hips, elbows, shoulders, and wrists.)
As with the other 9 factors we measure, it's OK if you haven't been doing yoga every day for the last 30 years. You may be stiff as a board. We'll help you get back on track and keeping all your joints SUPER healthy, strong, and lubricated till you're a very ripe, old age!
